I was always fascinated by color. As a young child I would stare at the guilt squares of pink, turquoise, and yellow when I was supposed to be taking a nap. Through the years I experimented with embroidery, watercolors, acrylics, oils, stained glass, tissue paper collage, weaving, and jewelry making - all for the love of color. In the Spring of 2009, I took a Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain class. Toward the end of that class we were working with charcoal. I asked myself what would it be like to start substituting color for the charcoal. My friends encouraged me to try pastels.
